How LeagueXI Works
LeagueXI is a season-long football prediction game. You predict the scores of upcoming matches, earn points for how accurate you are, and climb the leaderboards against friends and players around the world. Here’s everything you need to know.
1. Predict the scores
Each round, we bring you the biggest fixtures from Europe’s top competitions — the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, and European nights.
For every match, you predict the exact final scoreline before kickoff. Think it’s a 2-1 home win? Lock it in. You can set and change your predictions right up until the round’s deadline.
2. Earn points
Your predictions are scored on a simple system:
- 5 points — Exact score. You predicted the precise scoreline (you said 2-1, it finished 2-1).
- 3 points — Correct result. You got the outcome right but not the exact score (you said 2-1, it finished 1-0 — still a home win).
- 0 points — Wrong result. The outcome didn’t match your prediction (you said 2-1, it finished 1-2).
The more matches you read correctly, the more points you bank.
3. The 90-minute rule
Predictions are scored on the result after 90 minutes of regulation time (including stoppage time). Extra time and penalties do not count.
This matters in knockout competitions. If a match finishes 1-1 after 90 minutes and then a team wins 2-1 in extra time, the scored result is 1-1 — the score at full-time. So when you predict a knockout fixture, you’re predicting the 90-minute result, not the eventual winner after extra time or penalties.
4. Play in rounds
LeagueXI is organised into rounds. Each round groups together a set of upcoming fixtures with a single deadline. Get your predictions in before the deadline, watch the matches play out, and see your points land as results come in.
Deadlines are shown in your local time so you always know how long you’ve got.
5. Climb the leaderboards
Every prediction counts toward three leaderboards:
- Round leaderboard — how you did this round.
- Season leaderboard — your running total across the whole season.
- All-time leaderboard — your record since you started playing.
Every player is automatically entered into the global leaderboard. Rise up the table by consistently reading matches better than everyone else.
6. Compete in leagues
Want to go head-to-head with a specific group? Create a private league for your mates, or join a public one. Your single set of predictions counts across every league you’re in — so you’re always competing everywhere at once. One prediction, every competition.
